Missing man is found dead in woodland
AMISSING dad-ofthree from Accrington has been found dead in woodland after a two day search.
Scott Pharo, 35, was last seen on CCTV walking towards Accrington Victoria Hospital at about 12.45pm on Monday, October 7, after leaving his car, a black Vauxhall Insignia on Haywood Road.
Lancashire Police said a man’s body was found on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 9, in woodland off Burnley Road, Hapton.
A spokesperson said: “The body has yet to be formally identified but it is sadly believed to be that of Mr Pharo. His family have been notified.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Coroner.
“Our thoughts are with Scott’s family and friends at this extremely sad and difficult time.
“Thank you to everyone who took the time to share our appeal.”
Hayley Houldsworth and Tracie Hamilton have launched an online fundraising appeal to help Mr Pharo’s ‘inspirational and wonderful wife Caroline and his three beautiful children’ after they received the devastating and heartbreaking news’.
