CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:
RYAN Leach, 29, of Bridgefield Close, Rishton, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was fined £40.
MICHAEL Lee Gardiner, 40, of Blackburn Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and driving while disqualified and with no insurance. He was given a 12-month community order with a four-month curfew requirement, a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
GARETH Owen, 35, of Colbran Street, Burnley, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Accrington and using a motor vehicle with no insurance and no licence. He was given a 12-month community order with a 15-day programme requirement, 80 hours unpaid work, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 28 months, reduced by 28 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
PAUL Frank Almond, 45, of Walmsley Street, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to three counts of shoplifting. He was given a six-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a supervision requirement and a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement.
ZAFAR Nazir, 64, of Richmond Road, Accrington, was convicted in his absence of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver to police. He was fined £660, ordered to pay £250 costs and disqualified from driving for six months.
THOMAS Martin Hadfield, 29, of West Crescent, Accrington, pleaded guilty to criminal damage and assault by beating. He was given a 12-month community order with an eight-week curfew requirement, a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement, a two-year restraining order and ordered to pay £300 compensation and £100 costs.
MOHAMMED Tasib, 43, of Countess Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and criminal damage. He was fined £320, ordered to pay £175 compensation and £85 costs and given a 12-month restraining order.
KARL Anthony Willis, 27, of Warren Farm Road, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to attempting to steal a motor vehicle in Clayton-le-Moors. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
CASES heard at Burnley Magistrates Court:
DAVID Varey, 36, of Easton Lane, Chippenham, pleaded guilty to failing top provide a specimen of breath for analysis in Accrington as part of an investigation and driving in Accrington without a test certificate. He was fined £200, ordered to pay £150 costs and disqualified from driving for 17 months, reduced by 17 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
