John Coleman hopes to have Sean McConville back in action on Saturday after he missed the last few weeks through injury.

McConville suffered a shoulder injury recently, which has seen him miss several Accrington matches, including the 4-1 victory over Portsmouth on Saturday.

Coleman has provided an update on the midfielder, whilst also discussing some of the other decisions he has to make when it comes to team selection.

“It’s a grey area with Sean. He was out with a shoulder injury earlier on in the season but it’s his other shoulder. He had shoulder damage from a broken collar bone at Stockport around five or six years ago and it’s that shoulder,” he told the club’s official website.

“The prognosis is two-to-four weeks, he came back earlier from his injury earlier this season. I do have difficult decisions to make, it’s not only picking the team but it’s picking the subs as well.

“You have got to do what you think is right, you don’t always get it right, but what you have got to remember is that is that we see the players every day in training, we have far more information to form our judgements than just a match day and that’s what we base our decisions on.”

Meanwhile, striker Okera Simmonds has left Stanley after his contract was terminated by mutual consent. The 19-yearold joined the club back in February, having previously come through the youth ranks with Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
