CASES heard at Burnley Magistrate­s Court:

PHILLIP Lee, 26, of Somerset Grove, Accrington. Found guilty of driving in a public place without insurance and without a licence in Accrington on September 11, 2018. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £150 costs.

SHABAN Hussain, 36, of Higher Antley Street, Accrington. Found guilty of driving without due care and attention in Rishton on January 26, 2019. He was fined £230, ordered to pay £200 costs and given five points on his licence.

DANIELLE Claire Hargreaves, 32, of Collingwoo­d, Claytonle-Moors. Pleaded guilty to drink driving on Whalley Road on

January 29, 2020. She was fined £125, ordered to pay £85 costs and banned from driving for 20 months reduced by 20 weeks if she completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

TERRENCE Henry Gaskin, 30, of Spring Hill Road, Accrington. Pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place in Burnley on February 1. He was discharged conditiona­lly for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs.

CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrate­s Court:

ADRIAN John Betney, 30, of Tunstall Drive, Accrington. Pleaded guilty to assault by beating in Burnley on August 17, 2019 and two counts of assault by beating in Burnley on September 2, 2019. He was given a two-year community order with 26-day programme requiremen­t, 40-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t, 200 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £300 compensati­on.

TOMAS Lyndon Maher, 20, of Hyndburn Road, Church. Pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of gin worth £38 from Oswaldtwis­tle Mills Ltd on January 26, 2020. He was discharged conditiona­lly for 12 months.

NEIL Anthony Morton, 48, of Wellington Street, Accrington. Pleaded guilty to stealing various makeup items worth £100 from Boots, Accrington and using threatenin­g, abusive or insulting words or behaviour that was racially aggravated in Accrington on December 20, 2019 and failed without reasonable excuse to surrender to court on February 4, 2020, all whilst subject to a conditiona­l discharge. He was given a 12-month community order with six-month non-residentia­l drug rehabilita­tion requiremen­t, and a 12-month exclusion requiremen­t not to enter Boots, Accrington.

BENSONS Aquatics and Pets Ltd, Countess Street, Accrington. Pleaded guilty to six counts of selling animals as pets without a licence between October 14, 2019 and November 22, 2019. They were fined £300 and ordered to pay £100 costs.

BEN Allen Jones, 24, of Countess Street, Accrington. Pleaded guilty to six counts of selling animals as pets without a licence between October 14, 2019 and November 22, 2019 while subject to a suspended sentence order.

He was given a six-month community order with ten-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t, banned from selling animals for five years, ordered to pay £600 costs and the operationa­l period of his suspended sentence was extended by three months.

JULIAN Wixted, 54, of Grafton Gardens, Accrington. Pleaded guilty to assault in Burnley on October 27, 2018. He was fined £846 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

JACK Yates, 27, of Thwaites Road, Oswaldtwis­tle. Pleaded guilty to damaging a motor vehicle with intent in Blackburn on December 8, 2019. He was fined £200, ordered to pay £200 compensati­on and £85 costs.

SADAKAT Ali, 20, of College Court, Harmen Street, Accrington. Pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer in Accrington on November 16, 2019. He was jailed for six weeks and ordered to pay £120 compensati­on.

SHAUN Peter Carney, 38, of Ribblesdal­e Avenue, Accrington. Pleaded guilty to drink driving in Rishton on February 8, 2020. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and banned from driving for 36 months, reduced by 36 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

KRISTIAN Jordan Keenan, 28, of Robert Street, Accrington. Pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of Fairy liquid, four DVDs and a set of razors worth £37.93 from B&M in Blackburn on

January 8, 2020, committed whilst subject to a conditiona­l discharge. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

DAVID Clark, 82, of Yew Tree Drive, Oswaldtwis­tle, Accrington. Pleaded guilty to drink driving and failing to stop after an accident in Accrington on August 1, 2019. He was fined £414, ordered to pay

£85 costs and banned from driving for 19 months.
