ACCRINGTON LIONS

-

OUR WDSD fun day is in it’s fifth year.

It started out in Snuffy’s in Great Harwood with just a few Lions stalls and has quickly exploded into an event with 50 plus stalls and attractions.

Our aim is to celebrate the wonderful lives that adults and children with Down Syndrome lead and to have some fun doing it.

Our star guests are Hollyoaks actors Jacob Roberts aka Damon Kinsella, Eva Lorente aka Minnie Kinsella and Isabella Hibbert aka Steph CunninghamLomax.

This year we are holding a Pooch Parade with the categories: Fancy Dress, Most Talented, Most Like

Their Owner and Waggiest Tail.

Money raised from the Pooch Parade will go to Four Paws rescue.

This year is our second fun day and colour run held in Rishton.

Accrington Lions serve the community of Hyndburn so for us it is important that we hold events throughout the borough.

We will be joined by stars from Hollyoaks including Nikki Sanderson aka Maxine Kinsella, Eva Lorente aka Minnie Kinsella and Charlie Hughes aka Curtis Royle.

The colour run/walk is for all the family and we would love for people to enter and raise sponsorship for Accrington Lions.

We are also holding a tug o’ war competition and are looking for teams to enter.

Our Friends of Accrington Lions are people who cannot commit to joining Lions but would like to help out at individual events or can provide us with services or items which can help us.

We are looking for support from our friends to provide manpower at both of our fun days.

If you are able to help at either event for any amount of time, please let a Lion know.
