AS part of the Prime Minister’s roadmap to recovery, on Monday,
June 15 we will see the next phase of retail openings in Hyndburn.
Non-essential retail shops will be open such as those selling clothes, shoes, toys, furniture and electronics.
Our Indoor Market will also be open in addition to our Outdoor Market and we are looking forward to welcoming
Hyndburn residents back into our townships and highstreets to support each other.
In order for businesses to be able to open from this date they will have taken the necessary steps to become ‘Covid-secure’ including risk assessments and putting measures in place to meet health and safety legislation.
It is important we get our economy up and running, safely and securely.

We would like to reassure residents that we are working closely with business owners to re-open our highstreets safely and social distancing will remain key throughout this.
The support of Hyndburn residents is needed now more than ever as we move to the next phase of our recovery.
By choosing to shop within Hyndburn you are supporting our economy, our people and our future.
When shopping or accessing indoor public spaces, such as the Market Hall, we are encouraging people to wear face coverings if possible, to protect themselves and other people.
From Monday, June 15 wearing a face covering will be mandatory on public transport, more information about this and exemptions can be found at gov.uk.
As MP, leader and opposition leader we will continue to work for Hyndburn.
In the last three months Hyndburn Council have issued more than £21m in additional funding to help local business and Hyndburn has been recognised national for leading the country in its efforts to support the local economy.
The recent additional money, in the form of the ‘Local Business Discretionary Grants Fund’ will allow a further £1m of payments to help struggling businesses.
These grants will help support local businesses by providing much needed funding to help them meet the cost of continuing to run their business during this difficult time.
Please remember, help is available if you need it, please do not suffer alone.
