A THANK YOU TO OUR MP

-

I WOULD personally like to thank MP Sara Britcliffe and the Leader of Hyndburn Borough Council Miles Parkinson OBE for organising and participating in the recent video promoting ours and others safe working practices within Hyndburn local shops in a bid to attract the General Public back to shopping local.

Very recently Brendan Duffy, Acorns of Lancashire company director and myself were invited to a zoom video conference for a global industry body within Professional Textile Care: CINET.

They gave us the opportunity to display what work, efforts and best practices we had introduced within our business to ensure our customers, staff and ourselves stayed safe within the current environment.

We stated that we were proud to work with our local MP, Sara Britcliffe and the Leader of Hyndburn Borough Council, Miles Parkinson OBE, to promote best practice to combat Covid-19 in the local townships, as we were recognised as an ‘exemplary business’ within Hyndburn.

We were delighted that this video was shown to the global industry body, CINET, highlighting our best practices within Hyndburn.

The CINET video conference was attended by 40 CEO’s of global corporations from across the globe.

CINET’s link and the Shop Local presentation can be found on their website www.cinetonline.com.

CINET represents over 750,000 companies worldwide. The video was extremely well received by all, putting Hyndburn and Accrington on the Professional Textile Care World Map (again).

So, much so, Acorns of Lancashire have now been invited to participate in CINET’s Global Best Practice Awards later on this year.

Thank you so much

Sara and Miles for your help and support in boosting small local businesses within Hyndburn during these difficult times.
