MR Kevin McBurney, of Blackburn Road, Claytonle-Moors, died on Thursday, August 13, aged 62.

Kevin originally trained as an engineer at Stewart Engineerin­g, Accrington.

He also worked for many years as a weighbridg­e operator at Smurfit Paper Mills in Burnley, until its closure.

He later worked as a warehouse operative at Simon Jersey in Altham.

For the last four years he worked in the warehouse at Albert Harrison & Co Ltd in Accrington.

Kevin liked messing on his computer and he loved music - especially The Beatles.

He enjoyed watching films and liked travelling on family holidays.

Kevin is the son of the late John and Teresa McBurney.

He leaves behind his loving wife Anne.

He is the much loved brother of Letitia, Mary, Tommy, Sean, Gerard and Patrick and dear son-inlaw of Cath.

He is also a dear brother-in-law and a much loved uncle, great-uncle and great, great-uncle.

The funeral will be held on Friday, August 21, at 11am at Accrington Crematoriu­m Chapel, Burnley Road, Accrington, led by Fr Simon Stamp.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to Macmillan Cancer Support c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.

DOREEN Bury nee Guy died peacefully at home in her sleep, aged 79.

Beloved wife of the late Edward Bury (Ted), she was devoted mum to Chris and Mark, loving sister to Keith and Deborah, proud grandmothe­r to Tom, and aunty to Adam and Jane.

Loved by all who had the pleasure to meet her.

Back to where she dreamed to be - with her first love.

The funeral will take place at All Saints

Church at 12.15pm followed by committal at Pleasingto­n Crematoriu­m at 1.30pm on Wednesday, August 26.

No flowers by request, with donations in memory of Doreen being gratefully received on behalf of All Saints Church or Cancer Research.

Funeral director: Champ Funeral Services, Clayton-le-Moors.
