JEAN DWYER MARGARET NIEMEYER
JEAN Dwyer, of Tennyson Avenue, Oswaldtwistle, passed away suddenly but peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, aged 80.
During her life Jean worked firstly at the local mill and then for Bythe’s as a kitchen assistant.
She then later went to work as a cleaner at Stoneyhurst College, the Golden Cross Pub and also the James Street Club.
In her spare time and during her retirement she loved to read, knit, complete crosswords and also watch TV, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She sadly leaves behind her much loved children Claire, Beverly, Susan, Lisa, Carol, David and Paul, her dearly loved grandchildren Kiera, Mason, Sam, Louise, Emma, Ryan, Morgan, Anthony, Wayne and Lynsay, her 17 treasured great-grandchildren and also her cherished great, great-grandchild.
A funeral service for immediate family and close friends only (due to the current restrictions) will take place on Friday, September 4, at 2.45pm at Immanuel Parish Church, New Lane, Oswaldtwistle, prior to interment in the churchyard.
Anyone wishing to pay their last respects may stand (socially distanced) on New Lane.
Family flowers only please, but donations are welcomed in memory of Jean for Cancer Research UK and may be made by phone, by post, or by envelope drop off at the funeral home.

MARGARET Ann Niemeyer, nee Hindle, of Cooper Close, Oswaldtwistle, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, August 29, aged 71.
Throughout her life Margaret was a hard worker and has worked for various companies over the years, including the Royal Ordinance Factory in Blackburn, Rist Wires and also Hollin Bank House in Oswaldtwistle.
She loved going line dancing as well as playing bingo and at home enjoyed knitting, watching films and soaps, and spending time with her family and her dogs.
A beloved daughter of Bill and Ann, a dearly loved wife of Dennis, a much loved mother of Peter, Diane, Steven, Bryan and Gary, a dear step-mum of Tracy and mother-in-law of Kristyna, Lindsey, Donna and Rebecca, a treasured grandmother and great-grandmother, a dear sister of Kevin and Roy and a special friend to many, especially Linda and Shirley.
Her funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 8, at 3pm at Accrington Crematorium for immediate family and close friends only (due to the current restrictions).
The funeral cortege will pause at the Enfield Cricket Club at approximately 2.40pm en-route for anyone who wishes to pay their last respects.
