ST PAUL’S CHURCH OF ENGLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL

-

YEAR 5 have started their 12-week Militarycation programme and have been practising their drilling skills.

As well as this the children will learn PT and bush craft skills as well as participating in team building and resilience activities.

At the end of this 12-week programme they will perform a drill to parents and guests as part of their ‘Passing out Parade’, providing social distancing measures can be implemented.

We have also continued to welcome back some of our Year 6 leavers, ensuring that all our social distancing and hygiene measures are adhered to.

Every year we hold a ‘Catch up Club’ to allow our latest leavers to come back to St Paul’s to share their new high school experiences with friends and staff.

It’s a really positive time for everyone, and the children and staff love finding out about high school experiences.

Thank you to Vicar Martin for coming into school this week to deliver worship.

It’s not easy ensuring our children are still able to access daily collective worship at the moment as classes have to stay in their bubbles.

With the help of modern technology, Vicar Martin was able to lead our whole school in worship live as every class bubble was able to view him via their interactive whiteboards.

Year 5 received a very special visitor this week: Robin Hood came to speak to the children to help them with their literacy unit for this half term which is all about legends.

The class are reading Michael Morpurgo’s book - Outlaw and the visit from Robin Hood enabled the children to find out a little bit more about his character from the legend himself!
