SWANS left covered in oil after boat leak (p6 and online):

Susan Case: Went down to walk the dog today and still a huge amount of oil on the surface which is moving. Hardly any wildlife. The area reeks of petrol. Can nothing be put down to soak it up? I walked along to Blackburn road bridge and the duck weed is full of rubbish, plastic bottles, even a wine bottle thrown by thoughtless lowlifes who have no respect for property or nature. It makes me sad. Please educate your children to love and respect nature because we won’t get it back when it is gone!

Phil Lord: Saw this yesterday whilst out walking my dog. I despair.

Victoria Hilton: Hope they’re all ok. See them most mornings when I go to work.
