MRS Patricia (Pat) Finch, of Stanley Court, Accrington, sadly passed away at Royal Blackburn Hospital on Saturday, September 26, aged 76.

She leaves behind dearly loved husband Gerry, sons Kevin and Andrew, granddaugh­ter Ebony, daughter-in-law Sharron, and many close friends.

Daughter of the late

John and Minnie Cunningham and sister of the late Roy, Pat lived in Accrington for the whole of her life.

She started her working life at Masterbar Accrington, then spent some time working away in the hospitalit­y industry in Great Yarmouth.

Following this she worked as a delivery driver for Greens Bakery, which led on to her starting her own business.

Pat successful­ly owned and ran ‘The Butty Shop’ on Stanley Street, Accrington for 35 years up until her retirement.

Pat enjoyed gardening, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.

She also enjoyed many holidays to Cyprus, where she met lifelong friends. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

The funeral will be held at Accrington Crematoriu­m on Tuesday, October 13 at 2.20pm.

SUDDENLY at her home on Friday, October 2, Joan, aged 80, from Rishton.

The devoted wife of the late Leonard, much loved mum of Eric and his wife Irene, dear sister of Michael and his wife Carol, cherished grandma of Adam and Katie, dear auntie of Lisa, Guy and Max, Joan was also a dear relative and friend to many.

Joan spent all her working life at Greenbank Engineerin­g as a secretary/PA; she enjoyed her work and made many good friends along the way.

A very sociable lady, Joan loved the company of her family and friends and loved nothing more than a catch up over a glass of wine or two.

Holidays were always looked forward to; she adored the sunshine and spent many happy times relaxing at her brother’s apartment in Tenerife, and also enjoyed trips to America and Canada.

Joan loved her home and garden and always ensured they were kept immaculate.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
