MR Kenneth Killingbec­k, of Laburnum Drive, Oswaldtwis­tle, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, aged 90.

During his working life Ken was a railway fireman and proudly served in the East Lancashire Regiment, B Company and the 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment.

He also worked as a maintenanc­e engineer for Whitbreads for over 20 years.

In his spare time and during his retirement Ken turned his hand to DIY; he also enjoyed watching classic films and TV - in particular wrestling and darts.

He was also a member and club founder of the 2 Para Reunion Club.

Ken sadly leaves behind his dearly loved wife Margaret, his much loved son Michael, his treasured granddaugh­ters Sallyann and Larraine, and also his cherished greatgrand­children Olivia, Eleanor, Joshua and Isaac.

Ken will be very sadly missed by all his loving family and friends.

A celebratio­n of life service will be held for immediate family and close friends only (due to the current restrictio­ns).

Family flowers only please, but donations are being gratefully received in memory of Ken for either Cancer Research UK or the charity Support Our Paras, and can be made by phone, by post, or by envelope drop off at the funeral home (Accrington or Oswaldtwis­tle).
