AFUNDRAISING page in aid of a young mum who received ‘multiple stab wounds’ has raised more than £1,100.
A gofundme page was set up by Mia Witcombe in aid of Kayleigh Flanagan, from Oswaldtwistle, who was rushed to hospital by air ambulance following an incident in Blackburn on October 5.
A man has been charged with attempted murder. The fundraising page stated: “Kayleigh from Oswaldtwistle was involved in a serious stabbing which has left her in a serious but thankfully stable condition.”

The fundraising page created last week stated: “As most of you have seen on Facebook/and the paper that Kayleigh from Oswaldtwistle was involved in a serious stabbing which has left her in a serious but thankfully stable condition.
“I’ve made this page to hopefully raise some money for Kayleigh.
“She is a single mum who also works to provide for them both.
“She is currently living at home with her mum, but due to her now having to stay off work, I am hoping that we could raise a bit of money for when she’s home and help her get back on her feet without worrying her about money. Hopefully we can raise enough for a deposit on a house.
“If you can please donate no matter how small or even by sharing the link would be a massive help. Thank you so much.”
A huge emergency service response was issued immediately following the incident.
The air ambulance, paramedics and police rushed to the scene on Rolleston Road in Blackburn at around 4pm on Monday, October 5.
In a statement last week, Lancashire Constabulary said: “We were called to reports that a woman had been stabbed at a property in Rolleston Road, Blackburn.
“Officers have attended and found a woman with multiple stab wounds.
“She has been airlifted to hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.”
● Levi Davidson, 25, of Rolleston Road, Blackburn, has been charged with attempted murder. He appeared at Blackburn Magistrates Court and has been remanded into custody to appear at crown court next month.
