ELAINE WALMSLEY

-

ELAINE Walmsley nee Studholme, of Station Road, Huncoat passed away peacefully in hospital with her two daughters by her side on

Sunday, November 8, aged 65.

A cherished mum to Gillian, Michael, John, Kim and Brendan, treasured nanna to Laura, Danielle, Imogen, Shelley, Connor, Keira, Kyle, Chester and Zach, she also leaves behind her beloved brothers Barry, Lance and George, and sisters Marie and Gillian. Elaine was a much loved mother-in law, sister-inlaw, cousin, auntie, and friend to many.

A sewing machinist for much of her early life, Elaine later worked in Children’s Residential services.

Taking early retirement, she went on to help out in her son’s pub, which brought her much joy. She loved to watch TV, in particular Emmerdale and Coronation Street. She also loved trips to the bingo and enjoyed many family holidays to Florida, Spain, Greece and Cyprus. Elaine was happy to have recently reconnected with her long lost cousin Harry in Australia and had enjoyed many long video chats with him.

With her kindness and great sense of humour, Elaine leaves a big hole in many people’s lives and will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

A private family funeral service will be held. The service will be livestreamed for all those who cannot attend. Family flowers only please, with donations in memory of Elaine gratefully received on behalf of Dementia UK.
