KATHLEEN KENYON

-

KATH Kenyon, of Marlborough Road, Accrington died suddenly at home on Monday, November 2, aged 61.

She was born in Dunfermline, Scotland in 1959 to loving parents Terry and Nan Ganley who, a year later, moved down to Oswaldtwistle.

Kath started her long and rewarding career in childcare, firstly as a nursery nurse at Thorneyholme Road Nursery, before moving on to Seven Trees in Blackburn, where she became a geographical manager up until she took early retirement in 2016. Kath took great pride in her position, and always tried her best to help her colleagues and the children in need.

After retiring, Kath became a keen golfer and was always at the range practising her swing and putting. Kath was also an enthusiastic member at Accrington & District Golf Club, where she made some great friends during her time there. Kath loved to get away on holidays, especially with the girls, and was the life and soul of any party, always up for a good laugh and a dance.

Kath leaves behind two beloved daughters Jenna and Leaf, partner Pete, sisters Carolann and Roselynn, brothers Ted, Eric, and John, sons-inlaw Luke and Josh, nieces Kirsty and Kelly, nephews Gary, Wayne, Liam, and Jack, and great-nieces and nephews. Kath was very much loved by all and will be sorely missed every day. Gone far too soon, but will never be forgotten.

The funeral will be held on Friday, November 20, at 9.40am at Accrington Crematorium, led by Kathy Unsworth. Family flowers only please, with donations if desired to the British Heart Foundation c/o Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
