MR Stanley Seaton, of Oswaldtwis­tle, formerly of Kilmarnock, died at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 13, aged 95 years.

Stanley worked on farms in and around Ayrshire, where he met Irene, and they moved to Oswaldtwis­tle 10 years later.

He loved playing pool with friends, and was never happier than when he was telling family and friends tales and jokes.

Husband of the late Irene, loving father of William, Ian, Stuart and Wendy, cherished grandad of Leona,

Melissa, Macy and

Harvey, and greatgrand­ad to Luke.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 11am, led by Angela Riding, and will be a private service.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Cancer Research.

MR Philip Lynch, of Lupin Close, Accrington, died peacefully after a very short illness, on Wednesday, November

18, aged 90 years.

Philip served in the army as a dispatch officer, delivering mail for the Home Office.

He was also involved in communicat­ions.

Following this, he went to work at Singer Cobble (tufting mch) Engineers, where he travelled all over the world, including

South Africa, Spain, Poland, and even Russian during the Cold War period.

His last employment was as an engineerin­g fitter at Thom Engineerin­g in Blackburn.

Philip was a member of the Rotary Black Dog Group.

He was a model boat enthusiast, western film fanatic, and he loved to socialise with family and friends.

In his time he was the oldest scuba diver at the age of 70 years.

He also loved boating, sailing and fishing - and womanising.

He was first married to Mary Lynch, and they had a son, Stephen.

He later married his second wife Margaret, who already had a son, Denzil.

Philip leaves numerous grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

The funeral is due to be held on Friday, December 4, 11am at Accrington Crematoriu­m, led by Rev Kevin Logan.
