MR Ramon Hargreaves - known as Ray - of Clayton-le-Moors passed away suddenly in hospital on Sunday, December 13, aged 79.

The devoted and loved husband of Barbara, loving and loved step-dad of Andrea and Warren, cherished grandad of Blue and Tiziano, loving father of Steven, Karen, David, Nigel and Keith, grandfather of Jordan, Becky, Rachel, Samantha, Carly, Leighton, Danielle, Tamzin, Oliver and

Henry, great-grandfather of Olivia, Maisie, Alfie, Alice, Bradly, Lottie, Sophie, Lewis, Grayson, Evie, Leo-David, Gracie

Mae, Mitchum, Charlie, Honey and HollieBlossom and a dear brother of Terry.

Ray spent his working life as a Plastics Engineer at TML, Accrington, where he worked for over 30 years up until his retirement. He was a well-loved and respected member of his working team, and always surrounded by many friends.

Ray loved life and made the most of each day - he was the life and soul of the party and could talk to anyone about anything.

He was an avid golfer and fisherman and former member of Accrington Golf Club. His golf and fishing saw him travel all over the UK and abroad to compete, often with his beloved wife Barbara at his side who also enjoyed taking part. Holidays were a favourite time for Ray and Barbara and together they have travelled around the globe. Wherever they visited it was always an adventure with many stories to be told upon their return.

A devoted and muchloved family man, who enjoyed gathering the family together for a celebration.

A funeral service will be held at 12.20pm on Tuesday, December 22, at Accrington Crematorium. For those who are unable to attend, the service will be live streamed.
