Ac c r i n g t o n - b a s e d CMAC Group, the managed ground transport and accommodation specialists, has joined forces with Lancashire-based CheckedSafe in a strategic partnership which supports CMAC’s commitment to providing safe and reliable managed transport solutions across Europe and beyond.

CheckedSafe was founded in 2014 and is the leading SaaS (Software as a Service) compliance platform for many sectors including, large fleets, HGVs, car rental, bus, coach and taxi.

The company’s awardwinning vehicle compliance system has revolutionised the way drivers, and businesses, conduct essential vehicle safety checks.

By digitising a previously paper-based and laborious task CheckedSafe has developed a tool that saves a business time without compromising on safety, in fact enhancing it, something that CMAC Group place at the forefront of its business.

CheckedSafe supports almost 1,000 direct clients with more than 7,500 depots nationwide from one vehicle to large fleets of 000’s+. The firm has partnerships with Novuna, Northgate Vehicle Hire and Enterprise Car and Van Hire, to name but a few. They also work with Royal Sun Alli

ance and QBE Insurance Group to provide the end user with confidence that vehicle compliance has been CheckedSafe.

The newly-formed CMAC and CheckedSafe partnership provides both organisations with opportunities for growth and diversification of services.

For CMAC this offers further value to its extensive supply chain of taxis, private hire vehicles, minibuses and coaches across the UK and Europe, whilst providing their clients (such as train operating companies, airlines, breakdown recovery and insurance firms and public sector organisations) with addi

tional peace of mind that their employees and their clients are in safe hands when travelling with CMAC.

Meanwhile, CheckedSafe plan to enhance its growth further through this collaboration, with introductions to CMAC’s

extensive supply-base and plans to pursue further expansion of their client base across Europe and beyond.

Neil Micklethwaite, COO of CMAC Group, said: “We’re excited to announce this affiliation with CheckedSafe. CMAC prioritises passenger safety and ensuring that our supply network can offer an enhanced level of compliance data in realtime is important to our business and our clients.

“The partnership will facilitate powerful new developments for both businesses, and we’re confident that our supply network will reap the benefits of engaging with CheckedSafe.”

Gary Hawthorne, Director and Co-Founder of CheckedSafe, said: “Joining forces with CMAC Group means that we can accelerate our growth whilst offering more specialised services to the taxi and private hire industry.

“We have much in common with CMAC, particularly our passion for safety and continued innovation - we’re excited to start working together.”

The partnership follows a period of continued growth for CMAC Group, with the business reporting a 33% increase in revenue in 2022, in a year which saw the firm transport over two million travellers.

“The partnership will facilitate powerful new developments for both businesses.”
