Window butted

-

A Townhead yob who headbutted a window to place his ex-partner in a state of fear and alarm faces a further wait to find out his punishment.

Colin Green, 51, attended uninvited at a property on Wilton Street, also in Townhead, on January 4 and repeatedly shouted, swore, uttered threats and acted aggressively.

The hot-head then refused to leave when asked to do so and headbutted a window of the house.

Green pleaded guilty at Airdrie Sheriff Court and when he resurfaced in the dock for sentencing last week, his defence solicitor told the court: “Their relationship [Green and his ex-partner] is bizarre and somewhat dysfunctional, but in their own way they give each other support.

Green also appeared for a review of a community payback order handed down for showing up at the same Wilton Street house twice last year and behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.

First, on July 23, he shouted, swore, banged on the door and demanded entry, before returning on November 9 for a further burst of foul language, to utter a threat and refuse to leave when asked.

Green entered a guilty plea to both offences and he was sentenced to a community payback order.

Sheriff O’Carroll told Green: “On this community payback order matter, you are complying to a certain extent. I will allow it to continue and order a further review in two months’ time.”

An argument ensued over his online gambling and he lost his temper and began to throw items
