After 9’Ers activity group

Meetings take place on Fridays from 1pm to 3pm in the community centre. The group is run by members of the community, for the community and activities include arts and crafts, fitness and cooking. The weekly cost is £1.50, which includes tea and snacks.

Caldercrui­x Youth and Community Developmen­t Program staff have asked parents to avoid disappoint­ment by registerin­g their children for a place at the group’s summer club. This year’s theme is Olympics and the cost per child is £3 for the full week. Places are limited and the club starts the week beginning Monday, July 25, with sessions until Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm. A family fun day will follow on Thursday, July 28, from 11am to 3pm, featuring local service providers, face painting, hot dogs, raffles, inflatable­s and more. The week concludes with a trip on the Friday for members who attend the full week.
