Indoor Bowling Club The bounce game summer league will be taking a break until Monday, August 1. Thereafter it will be open on Mondays and Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm and Friday from 10am to 12pm until September 5. The cost per two hour session for current members is £3 and non-members £4, with children under 16 years getting free entry. Nonbowlers or beginners who would like to give bowling a try can join the club at any of the times given; shoes and bowls can be provided for use free of charge. The Clifton Suite is available for all types of functions and events. The club AGM will be held within the premises on Sunday, August 21, at 2pm. Group AGM Coatbridge Federation of tenants’ and residents’ associations will hold their AGM on Tuesday, August 9. It will take place in the Whifflet flats community room from 7pm, and all are welcome to attend.

Spiritualist church meetings Angel of Love and Light Spiritualist Church meet every Monday in Coatbridge community centre, Old Monkland Road (in the grounds of St Andrew’s High School) at 7.30pm. New members are welcome to attend. Contact Mary on 07436 273128 for more.

Coffee and crafts Hope Church on Bank Street is holding a coffee and crafts afternoon from 3pm to 4.30pm on Saturday. There will be crafts for the kids while mum and dad relax over a cup of coffee and some home baking. The event is a taster for the upcoming free holiday club, Jungle Jamboree, taking place from August 8.
