Pat’s playing it for laughs

-

Coatbridge’s first-ever monthly comedy club gets underway this Friday night.

Monklands funnyman Pat Rolink will host the inaugural event at The Mint restaurant from 8pm and tickets are still available.

The club will feature comics who perform on the UK comedy circuit “bringing laughter and mirth”to Coatbridge.

The opening gig sees Glaswegian comedian and writer Bruce Morton showcase his award-winning style of humour.

Bruce made his name by winning the first‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ competition at the Edinburgh Fringe and was one of the founders of the Funny Farm Comedy Collective.

Also on stage this Friday will be Graham Mackie, who is one of the busiest and most popular, comedians in Scotland.

Graham has just finished a run at the Edinburgh Festival with the tales and fables from his former occupation as a teacher.

As well as hosting the evening, Thrashbush native Patrick Rolink will also welcome up-and-coming comedian Marc Jennings to the stage.

Marc is tipped for the top and presented a highly-successful series of gigs at this year’s Edinburgh Festival.

Tickets for the launch of the monthly comedy club are available from www.wegottickets.com/ event/370499 or they can be bought on the night.
