Da Capo music group Anyone interested in learning the flute or drums is welcome to attend band practice on Mondays at the congregational church hall on Broomknoll Street from 6pm. Contact John on 07525 064303 for further details on the group.

Church service change There will be no service in Greengairs Church this Sunday. Instead, there will be a joint service at New Monkland Church, starting at 10am.

Social club Activities this week include Sunday night bingo, with tickets on sale from 8pm and eyes down at 8.30pm. The Lucky Joker draw is made at 8.30pm on Sundays, with tickets on sale from committee

members and bar staff. For further information on all of the above see the club notice board. Back Brae Gospel Hall The Sunday school sessions run from 2.30pm to 3.15pm. The breaking of the bread takes place on Sundays at 11am. The evening gospel meeting is held at 6.30pm every Sunday, except the last Sunday of the month when the service runs from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. A prayer and Bible reading is also held every Wednesday from 7.30pm to 9pm.

Toddlers’ football has resumed for the summer season and training takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 6pm to 7pm in the local community hall. All boys and girls aged four to 10 are welcome along.

Marching band Baillies Lane Flute Band practice has resumed after the summer break, with sessions taking place on Tuesdays in the social club from 7pm to 9pm. The group will also welcome new members to attend learner classes on Sundays from 2pm to 4pm.
