Social club

Activities this week include Sunday night bingo, with tickets on sale from 8pm and eyes down at 8.30pm. The Lucky Joker draw is made at 8.30pm on Sundays, with tickets on sale from committee members and bar staff. For further informatio­n on all of the above see the club notice board.

Back Brae Gospel Hall

Sunday school sessions run from 2.30pm to 3.15pm. The breaking of the bread takes place on Sundays at 11am. The evening gospel meeting is held at 6.30pm every Sunday, except the last Sunday of the month when the service runs from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. A prayer and Bible reading is also held every Wednesday from 7.30pm to 9pm. The hall’s Christmas dinner takes place on Friday, December 9, at 6.30pm. Councillor’s surgery

Airdrie North representa­tive Sophia Coyle will hold her next local surgery tomorrow, at 6pm to 6.30pm in the community hall.

Da Capo music group

practice on Mondays at the Congregati­onal Church hall on Broomknoll Street in Airdrie, from 6pm to 9pm. All those interested in learning the flute or drums are welcome to attend; for more details, contact John on 07525 064303.

Children’s committee

The Christmas pantomime, Dick Whittingto­n, and Christmas party will be held in the social club on Saturday, December 17, and Monday, December 19, respective­ly. Forms for both are available from the committee or bar staff and should be returned by next Wednesday, November 30. More details are available on the social club notice board.

Marching band

Baillies Lane flute band practice sessions take place on Tuesdays, from 7pm to 9pm in the social club. The group will also welcome new members to attend learner classes on Sundays from 2pm to 4pm. The band is currently in need of experience­d drummers.

Toddlers’ football

Training for the Greengairs Academy teams takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 6pm to 7pm in the local community hall. All boys and girls aged six to 10 are welcome along.
