Parish church events Caldercruix Parish Church will host a gift day service on Sunday at 10am, with a collection of toys for boys and girls. Later the same day a communion service takes place at Forrestfield Gardens at 3pm, with those requiring transport asked to let the minister or any of the elders know, and a memorial service will be held in the church at 7.30pm to remember loved ones who have passed away. A nine lessons and carol service will take place on Sunday, December 11, at 10am and a special invitation is also given to locals to attend the annual Battalion Boys’ Brigade carol service, hosted by the 1st Caldercruix Boys’ Brigade, on December 11 at 6.30pm. The church’s 125th anniversary afternoon tea and carols will be held on Saturday, December 17, at 2pm in the church hall; tickets are available from Jim Magill and transport is available for anyone who requires it.
Youth activities in the village are – after-school club for youngsters in Primary Two to Four: Tuesdays, from 3pm to 5pm; multi sports for primary school pupils: Thursdays, from 3.40pm to 4.30pm; mini youth club for P1-4: Fridays, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm; junior youth club for P5-7: Fridays, from 6pm to 8pm; senior youth club for secondary pupils: Wednesdays, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
