Social club Activities this week include Sunday night bingo, with tickets on sale from 8pm and eyes down at 8.30pm. school sessions run from 2.30pm to 3.15pm. The breaking of the bread takes place on Sundays at 11am. The evening gospel meeting is held at 6.30pm every Sunday, except the last Sunday of the month when the service runs from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. A prayer and Bible reading is also held every Wednesday from 7.30pm to 9pm. Da Capo music group Anyone interested in learning the flute or drums is welcome to attend the group’s band practice on Mondays at the congregati­onal church hall on Broomknoll Street from 6pm to 9pm. Children’s committee The Christmas pantomime, Dick Whittingto­n, and Christmas party will be held in the social club on Saturday, December 17, and Monday, December 19, respective­ly. More details are available on the social club notice board.

Marching band Baillies Lane Flute Band practice sessions have closed until after the New Year.

Councillor’s surgery Councillor Sophia Coyle will hold her next surgery in the village on Wednesday, December 14, in the community hall from 6pm to 6.30pm.

Fayre thanks Greengairs Parents’ Partnershi­p would like to thank those who helped to make their Christmas fayre on Saturday such a great success. Special thanks go to everyone who gave donations and prizes and all who assisted on the day. A grand total of £700 was raised at the event.
