Look how fit Katey and Jordan are now
An Airdrie couple’s remarkable transformation after completing a gruelling 90- day fitness challenge together has led to them becoming local celebrities.
Jordan Higgins, 22, and 20- year- old Katey Hillhouse get stopped in the street since halving their body fat and packing on muscle during their endeavour.
Early morning alarm calls, a strict diet-plan and countless weight circuits didn’t deter Jordan and Katey from their goal and the slimmed-down pair say it’s all thanks to Airdrie’s Revolution Fitness.
Jordan enthused: “I can’t believe the change in us.
“Doing the challenge together was a huge benefit; every time we worked out we were with each other.
“That allowed us to support each other and reach our shared goal and Katey motivated me every day.”
The precision engineer continued: “Everyone has been so supportive and encouraging.
“People we’ve never met come up to us in the street and congratulate us, saying they recognise us from the gym’s Facebook posts.
“My brother is a gas man and he’s even had clients in the far end of Glasgow

“It’s a bit crazy to be honest!”
Working to lose fat and gain muscle in the way Jordan and Katey have takes hours of dedication.
But all the exertion is useless unless undertaken in tandem with a healthy nutrition plan.
Jordan explained: “We worked with kettlebells every day alongside our PTs, David and Paul.
“There wasn’t much cardio work and surprisingly there was not one sit-up involved!
“It was exercises that really target the whole body.
“When it came to the food, I thought I was going to be contantly starving and for the first week or two it was a struggle.
“But the amount of food was incredible and it completely got rid of the junk aspect of my diet.
“We were constantly eating healthy items like chicken, rice, steak and other lean meats five or six times a day.”
Student teacher Katey added: “I was never hungry and I didn’t touch any crisps, chocolate or junk the whole time.
“We’re in that habit now of eating cleanly and we feel so much happier and motivated than before.
“When the three months were over we had a wee celebration and had some pizza but then it was back to the healthy stuff.
“It was a great experience and something we both needed to do.
“We’re delighted with the results.”
David Crawford and Paul McDonagh are the men behind the transformations of Jordan and Katey at Revolution Fitness.
David said: “Jordan and Katey were so dedicated and did everything we asked of them.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work with.
“Our post about them on Facebook with their progress photos received 70 times more attention than our normal posts.
“We’ve seen a big number of people come to the gym looking to be the next Jordan or Katey.”
