Legendary Coatbridge rockers Hue and Cry are warming up their vibrant vocal chords for a dynamic doubleheader of gigs at Glasgow’s O2 ABC next month – and the Advertiser has a pair of tickets for one of the special shows to give away to a lucky reader.

Brothers Pat and Greg Kane are looking to build on the success of previous live weekends History City, Hot Wire and September Songs with the intimate Pocketful of Stones showcase on April 21 and 22.

As part of the Friday night’s “stripped”performance the musical duo will be joined on stage by several guest musicians to accompany them in renditions of Hue and Cry classics, new material from the brothers’ forthcoming album – and a few surprises.

The Saturday night gig sees Pat and Greg joined by their unmissable full band and a string section to deliver a “one-off spectacular evening of live music”.

Pat said:“This is why we do Hue and Cry – to make powerful, original records and then bring them to life in performances to audiences.

“The‘Pocketful of Stones’weekend will celebrate the new album of the same name, as well as surpass the amazing fan experience of Hue And Cry weekends of the past.

“All the classics will be performed plus new songs, with Hue and Cry and friends from around the world, in one of the coolest cities you could ever visit. What could be a better way to spend a Friday and Saturday night?”
