There was denim delight on display when a lucky Plains woman sampled some of the latest fashion trends in this photo from the April 17, 2002, Advertiser.

Mina McGurk had to make room in her wardrobe after scooping a prize of £100 worth of clothes from Airdrie’s Argos store.

Shop sales manager Maggie Campbell ( back, centre) is pictured presenting a thrilled Mina with her allthe-rage reward.

Also featured passing on their congratulations to Mina are Argos staff members Margaret Caves, Lynsey Wylie, Alison Black and Lynda Lynch.

Prize winner Mina said afterwards: “I am thrilled to win the £100 worth of clothes and can’t wait to spend it on new items for my wardrobe.”
