ROVERS TERRACE TALK with Sam Tennent Rovers strikers find their form again

A victory at last for Rovers at Ochilview on Saturday.

It was a great all round performance but the standouts for me were Ryan Wallace and Ross Stewart doing their little and large act up front, which caused all sorts of problems for the Warriors fragile defence. The goal threat that has been missing from our team in the last couple of months suddenly looked back and when Scott McBride lashed in a great third in the final moments of the game it seemed like this was a team that had finally rediscovered its mojo.

I’m sure that nobody round Cliftonhill way will be getting too carried away with this result. Stenny are rooted to the bottom of the league and in truth this was a must win game for Darren Young’s men.

The key now is to carry forward the good form shown in the last few games into upcoming fixture against Alloa.

Back in October Rovers managed to grab a hard won point from the Wasps on their own turf and a similar result this time around would be more than acceptable.
