A trio of selfless students at St Margaret’s High entertained rotarians with a terrific talk which inspired their hosts to make a three-figure donation to charity.

Ellie Carroll, Heather Nock and Erin McAllister – all pictured above – paid a visit to the Rotary Club of Coatbridge, Airdrie & Monklands.

The girls had the audience of rotarians’full attention as they delivered a presentation on their work as the Airdrie secondary school’s ambassadors for the Beatson cancer charity.

Ellie, Heather and Erin put in hours of tireless dedication to the cause and have helped St Margaret’s collect several healthy donations for the Beatson.

Their talk at the rotary organisation was hailed by members, who then dug deep to hand over £400 for the girls to present to the charity.

A spokesperson for St Margaret’s High said:“Heather, Erin and Ellie have been invaluable in their wonderful work as ambassadors for the Beaston.
