Mum in a state of fear
A man placed his mum in a state of fear before threatening police officers, a court has heard.
Connaire Carraghan repeatedly shouted and swore at his mother at a house on Braefoot Court, Airdrie, on April 14.
He also refused to leave the premises when asked before striking and kicking doors.
Police were called out to the scene and Carraghan, 22, turned his rage onto the arresting officers.
En route to Coatbridge police office, Carraghan shouted and swore at the two constables before making a threat towards them.
Carraghan, whose address was given as Thrashbush homeless unit, later owned up to his illtempered behaviour and sentence was deferred for the court to investigate his background.
But during Carraghan’s return to Airdrie Sheriff Court earlier this month, Sheriff Morag Shankland was informed that reports on Carraghan were unavailable.
The sheriff then adjourned sentencing and ordered Carraghan back to court on June 7.
