Cannabis dealer

-

Being concerned in the supply of cannabis has resulted in unpaid work for a Kirkwood man.

Police officers found Peter Toal with the Class B drug at his Balmoral Crescent home on December 6 last year.

They placed him under arrest and he had to face the music at Airdrie Sheriff Court, where he pled guilty.

Toal, 48, co- operated with the court during the compilation of reports into his background and was back for sentencing last week.

His defence solicitor, Tony Linden, told the court his client would “be prepared to do unpaid work”.

This assessment was recognised by presiding sheri f f, Petra Collins, who placed Toal under a community payback order with 100 hours’ unpaid work.

This was reduced from 130 hours due to Toal admitting the offence.
