Sentence wait

A man caught with cannabis at his Coatbridge home faces a further wait to discover his punishment.

Kevin Cannon was found in possession of the class B drug at the Maxwell Place property on November 10 last year.

The 34-year-old owned up to the offence at Airdrie Sheriff Court and a period of deferral followed to allow for reports into his background.

He was back in the dock last week but the reports on Cannon’s character were not available.

Sheriff Petra Collins told Cannon sentence was being further deferred until July 12 for the reports to be completed, along with a restriction of liberty assessment and a community payback order progress report.
