There’s been a murder!
Murder most foul was committed in Airdrie last week – but fortunately Police Scotland were not called upon to intervene, leaving the detection instead to the amateur slueths of Airdrie Arts Guild drama group.
Members delivered two performances of the thrilling mystery Lights, Camera, Murder in St Margaret’s church hall last Thursday and Friday – and audiences enjoyed trying to work out whodunnit.
The play, which is set in a film studio, was directed by Morag Donald and starred May Smith .as the murdered actress, with Bill McCloy, Alistair Donald, Winter Reid, Giovanna Tweedie, Eddie Gouther, Nicole Cowan, Nicola Young and Peter Paterson as the suspects. Audiences were kept in suspense throughout the two-act play .
