Scouts meetings

1st Clyde Scouts’ weekly meetings take place on Wednesdays at the St David’s and Plains primary schools’ campus. Beavers for six to eight-year-olds meet from 6.15pm to 7.15pm and Cubs for ages eight to 10 from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. The cost for both meetings is £2.50 and youngsters attending are asked to take soft shoes and a drink. Volunteers and new starts are welcome to attend. Beavers’ Space Badge, fishing, allotments and swimming are among the group’s calendar of activities. Call organiser Linda Lafferty on 01236 609515 for more information.
