Heritage best bar none
The Heritage Inn fundraisers Aching limbs and a shortage of breath were well worth it for a group of intrepid fundraisers in the following photo from the November 20, 2002, Advertiser.
Regulars at the Heritage Inn in Greengairs at least got to enjoy a cold beverage or two when they completed a walk along the West Highland Way from Milngavie to Fort William.
The intrepid team – led by pub owner Liz Buchanan – raised a total of £1300 and presented £800 to the Greengairs Cancer Research committee, £200 to the Heritage children’s committee and £300 to Maureen Brown, who was walking the Great Wall of China for charity.
Liz handed a cheque to Bill McIntyre of the Cancer Research committee.
