Awards night for Lightning

Lanarkshire Lightning ice hockey club have announced plans for their-end-of-season presentation evening.

The award ceremony will be held for the junior sections of the club at the end of next month.

It will double as an endof-season party on June 30 at Bairds & Scottish Social and Recreation club in Coatbridge.

The evening starts at 7pm and the club have decided on an 80s theme to run throughout the night.

The club are also encouraging interested parties to get in touch about joining the team for next season.

A Facebook post on their page reads: “Come and join the family whether you are a new or experienced player.

“You will get quality coaching from experienced players as well as off- ice fitness sessions with fully qualified instructors for affordable fees.”
