Fighter for his family
A professional boxer from Airdrie says he is working towards a world title fight as he prepares for a key bout next month.
Paddy‘Geezer’Reilly, 31, will square up to English boxer Stuart‘Mad dog’ Maddox in Linwood on June 10, a fight which he views as a prelude to a British title fight towards the end of the year before aiming to become a world champion.
In preparation, he has been training with former European champion Alex Arthur to help hone his skills.
Unbeaten in three fights as a pro, family man Paddy he says he wants to do the best he can in the sport for his girlfriend Hazell and little boy Sonny.
He said:“This is a huge fight for me as it could open a good few doors.
“I can’t wait for this fight and I want to work towards British and world titles.
“I’m putting 110 per cent into my training because I want to be able to succeed and provide for my family the best I can.
“My family inspire me and I want to inspire younger fighters so that’s what keeps me going.
“Training has been tough and I can’t wait to get in the ring.”
