Football camps for kids

-

The football season may be nearly over but keen youngsters are being given the chance to hone their skills with action-packed camps at the end of May.

Taking place on the state-of- the-art outdoor surface at Ravenscraig and Broadwood Stadium on the holiday weekend – May 26 to May 29 – youngsters from P1 to aged 16 can learn top tips from SFA-qualified coaches in a fun environment.

Nicky Laughlin, Football Development Officer with NL Leisure, is keen to remind parents and children of the benefits of taking part.

He said: “Our school holiday camps have been really popular with all the players having a great time practising and playing games.

“Sessions are tailored so players can improve their technique, ball control, passing, shooting, dribbling and increase their fitness levels.

“Parents can leave their children to be looked after by our skilled and enthusiastic coaching team as they improve their game,

“It’s important for kids to stay active and enjoy exercising but they can also build new friendships here.”

Bookings can be made at the sports centres on 01236 341968 or by emailing nicky.laughlin@nlleisure.com.
