Summer fun at schools campus

-

Pupils and families at Bargeddie and St Kevin’s primaries celebrated summer as the joint campus hosted its annual parent council fun day.

Hundreds attended the community event, which raises funds for the two schools, and had a wide variety of attractions for visitors.

It was sponsored by neighbouring recycling firm Viridor, who brought along their vehicles to let youngsters take to the driving seat and to learn about road safety and recycling.

Parent council representative Amy Mooney said:“We’d like to thank everyone from Viridor who came to support our amazing fun day.

“They were so generous with the gifts they gave out and the staff put on such a great show with the disco.”

John Templeton of Viridor said: “We’ve supported the event for a number of years and it’s a great fun day out for the community to enjoy.

“We were able to show on-board technology and why it’s important to steer clear of large vehicles.”
