Airdrie Spirituali­st Church Meetings take place on Tuesdays in Beechbank Community Centre, Whinhall, at 7.30pm. Several excellent mediums will be on hand and to find out more, call Nan on 01236 767007.

@home Youth Centre has a purposebui­lt recording studio which is available every Friday from 5pm to 10pm with staff on-hand to help record and mix tracks. This facility is available free of charge to singers and bands aged under 25. Creative writing group meets on the first and third Friday of each month at Chapelside centre on Black Street, from 1pm to 3pm. The group is looking for new members and welcomes all those interested in writing in a diverse range of genres, including poetry, short stories and local history.

Recovery cafe Love N’Light Recovery Org’s recovery cafe takes place at Pilgrim Community Centre, Victoria Place, every Saturday from noon to 4pm. Motivation­al speakers, a conversati­onal cafe, fun hub, 12 steps participat­ion and arts and crafts for kids are among the attraction­s and facilities available. Keep Fit club at the sports centre at St Margaret’s High meets from 7pm to 9pm, with the first part of the evening taking the form of gentle exercise, with football skills later in the session. The club meets on Mondays; the weekly cost is £4 with members also paying a £3 annual subscripti­on, and surplus funds go to charity.

Thursday Club takes place every week in Airdrie High Church from 10am to 11.30am. Organisers look forward to welcoming old and new members alike and there are various activities for pre-school children. For further details, call the church office on 01236 779620 (mornings only).
