Youngsters take part in a danceathon

Coatbridge nursery kids got on down on the dance floor to keep warm back in the winter of 2002.

Sikeside Nursery hosted a sponsored danceathon event with choreography that wouldn’t have looked out of place in a Step Up movie.

The toe-tapping extravaganza to raise funds for future activities and outings is pictured in the Advertiser from November 27 of that year.

Staff, pupils and parents were all delighted to get involved as the nursery was filled with top tunes and cheers galore from the happy children.

A nursery spokesperson said: “We thank all the kids and their parents for taking part in a great day of fun.

“Everyone put their heart and soul into the danceathon.”
