MOVIE RELEASES Town treat for film fans
Blockbuster screenings
Superheroes and talking cars are set to roll up at Sir John Wilson town hall over the next couple of weeks.
That’s because the Airdrie venue’s cinema is putting on a Marvel-ous show with a sprinkling of Pixar dust for school c h i l d ren ov e r the remainder of their summer holidays.
Families can grab their buckets of popcorn and sample the spectacular sights and sounds of animation sequel Cars 3 and comic book adventure Spider- Man: Homecoming.
Pixar studios’ Cars 3 is showing at the town hall cinema today and tomorrow at 2pm.
The iconic webslinger himself then swings onto screens in Spider- Man: Homecoming daily from this Friday until Thursday, August 3 – excluding Saturday – with showings again taking place at 2pm.
A spokesperson for the town hall cinema said: “Film fans can enjoy the latest Hollywood blockbusters locally in a family- friendly environment and we look forward to welcoming everyone along.”
Spe c i a l summer ticket rates are priced £ 5 for adults, £ 3.50 for concessions, £ 14 for a family of four and £18 for a family of five.
The tickets also provide access to a tuck shop and a relaxed setting, where families are free to socialise.
