Indoor Bowling Club

The last night of the summer league takes place on Thursday, August 31, at 7pm, followed by the prize giving and a light buffet. Everyone who supported the club during the summer is welcome to attend. The new bowling season starts on Monday, September 4, with the seniors at 10am, ladies at 2pm and evening leagues at 7pm. Organisers say the Monday night league will not start until September 11 and all outdoor clubs who play in this league are asked to confirm their team is coming back this season, and any other club who would like to put their name on the waiting list can contact the club. The club will be open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm from now until the opening on September 4 to allow members and new members access to have a throw, pay fees or ask questions. Coatbridge Baptist Church’s Parent and Toddlers Group is recruiting new parents and toddlers from the area to join its fun and friendly group. It runs every Monday (except school holidays) from 9.30am to 11.45am at the church, based on West Canal Street. The group provide a safe environmen­t for parents to bring children aged from birth to three-years along to play with toys and interact with other parents and kids. Group invite Spirituali­st church meetings

Angel of Love and Light Spirituali­st Church meet every Monday in Coatbridge community centre, Old Monkland Road (in the grounds of St Andrew’s High School) at 7.30pm. New members are welcome to attend; contact Mary on 07436 273128 for more details.

Pied Piper playgroup

at the Charlotte Toal Centre on Dundyvan Road have places available for children aged two and over. Classes run on Tuesdays from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.45am to 11.45am.
