Nearly new sales held in Ebenezer Congregational Church take place this Friday and on Friday, September 29. There will be bric-a-brac, clothing and household items on offer from 10.30am to noon. Airdrie Spiritualist Church meet on Tuesdays in Whinhall’s Beechbank Community Centre from 7.30pm. For more information call organiser Nan on 01236 767007. Creative writing group meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at Chapelside Centre, Black Street, from 1pm to 3pm. The group is looking for new members interested in writing in a range of genres, including poetry, short stories and local history.

Recovery cafe Love N’Light Recovery Org’s recovery cafe takes place at Pilgrim Community Centre, Victoria Place, every Saturday from noon to 4pm. Motivationalmore.\ speakers, a conversational cafe, fun hub, 12 steps participation and arts and crafts for kids are among the attractions and facilities available.
