Pupils sitting pretty for fire safety talk
There was no dousing the burning ambitions of Coatbridge schoolchildren as they enjoyed a special visit in the summer of 2002.
Coatbridge fire station staff popped along to Greenhill Primary to give a fire safety presentation.
The picture featured in the Advertiser on July 26 that year and shows pupils listening intently to the firefighters’ lessons. Talks were given and a video shown about how to prevent fires from happening.
A Greenhill Primary spokesperson said: “We enjoyed having the firefighters from Coatbridge along and the children were all ears for their presentation.
“Fire safety is very important to learn about and this talk made a real impression on our pupils.”
