Thomson knocks back Diamonds job offer

Former Rangers star Kevin Thomson is the latest big name to rule himself out of the the running for the Airdrieonians hotseat.

The ex-Ibrox midfielder had been heavily linked to the head coach job but revealed he has turned down an offer from the Diamonds. Thomson confirmed that after impressive 5-0 win. He admitted he is keen to go into management in the future, saying he is “champing at the bit” to take the reins at a club.

“I want to aim as high as possible and want to keep growing my academy,” added Thomson.
