Top guns Carsons sink the Eagles
Carsons held on to top spot in the Airdrie and District Darts League after a convincing win against The Eagle.
The champions have enjoyed a blistering start to their campaign – and are the only side in the division to hold four wins in a row.
This came despite a 16-dart score by Craig McKinnon for Eagle.
League newboys The Post have enjoyed a good start this year, however they suffered their first loss of the season to in-form Workmen’s B.
The Workies held on to second spot in the table, and are level on points with The Swan.
Wilsons Arms were on the end of a heavy defeat after their trip to The Swan, and remained rooted to the foot of the league table following the 10-2 loss.
The Swan were dominant throughout, with James Parker scoring 16-dart and 21-dart wins, along with Tony Higgins who grabbed a 19-darter.
In the doubles, Gordon Jackson and Lauchie Black rounded off the win with a 22-dart score.
The Clansman have had a sluggish start to their season so far, however, they upset the Bank Social Club with an impressive 8-4.
Kristoffer Ross was the key man for the battling Bankies, scoring two 180s.
Despite some inconsistent form so far the Clansman outfit will now be looking up after pulling themselves away from the foot of the table.
The Workmen’s A are still searching for their first point of the season after a 9-3 defeat to The Forge.
The Albert Bar are the only other side sitting on zero, after a narrow 7-5 slip-up at the The Boar’s Head.
